Body, Heart, Mind Encouragement and Transformation
You’ve come to the right place!
My coaching practice is one that centers embodied presence, somatic awareness practice, nervous system regulation, warm listening, and skillful questioning to guide you to your own inner wisdom. There are no formulas or promised fixes in this approach because lasting transformation comes from relating to what is rather than believing that something is broken. All of our practice together will arise from relating rather than fixing. This radical approach is really an intimacy project - you with yourself - and it will be unique to you. All answers and truths that arise and emerge will be your own. All wisdom with which you connect will be your own. In this relating work, you will meet yourself and life in ways that will build your strength, clarity, agency, resilience, and capacity for love and connection.
Our sessions together will teach you to become your own best friend, encouraging coach, and beloved partner as you live in this ever-changing and emerging, gorgeously textured life.
You will learn to tune into your body’s sensations, inhabit your own experience, connect with joy, inquire into your deeply-held beliefs, and practice the fierce self-compassion that leads to lasting change, unshakeable confidence, and liberating integrity.
Is this Right for You?
My clients come in all ages, life stages and situations.
You sense that life could feel better and easier than it does. You struggle with a low-level sense of anxiety and a feeling of stuck-ness or overwhelm about your life.
You are in a transition of some kind. Into a phase of adulthood. Through grief. Between this and that. Finding your way into a new identity or out of an old one, like becoming a parent or shifting professions.
You want to make a career or relationship change and don’t know what step to take next. Or you know the step but yearn for accountability, support, and a strong, caring presence.
You are recovering from something. Addiction. Past trauma. Religious beliefs that created emotional and physical blockage.
You seek education, understanding, and uplift on your journey into meditation, yoga, breathwork and spiritual, creative practice.
You are motivated to do the work of inner connection that leads to transformation on every level of life.
Our sessions are deeply supportive containers for change, and between sessions there is writing homework, practice, and opportunities for integration. My clients come prepared to bring their hearts and their effort, their vulnerability and their courage, their questions and their curiosity. This willingness is where the relating begins.
With that in mind, this is not traditional therapy, nor is it meant to replace therapy.

Some of my Inspirations, Trainings and Resources:
I’m a certified yoga teacher, breath-work facilitator, and Reiki energy practitioner. I’ve studied and practiced yoga for over 25 years. I’ve completed a coaching course with Tara Mohr that draws from Parts work, Non-violent Communication, and Positive Psychology. I’ve studied and practiced Buddhist meditation – especially Metta (lovingkindness) and Vipassana (insight) - for nearly 20 years, with Pema Chodron and Sharon Salzberg as my primary teachers. I’ve completed a training in Yoga Nidra with Rod Stryker and have practiced Tantra meditation for over a decade. I have studied and practiced formal self-inquiry (known as The Work) with Byron Katie for many years. I’ve completed a trauma-healing course with the somatic educator Luis Mojica, and I am currently studying the nervous system in the work of Deb Dana and Stephen Porges. My current fascination is with coaching the unconscious mind through the power of hypnosis, and I’m diving into study with Melissa Tiers, an integrative hypnotist. I have my MFA in creative writing and taught fifteen years of high school English and am an avid reader of poetry and fiction, myth, and spiritual texts.
The learning never ends, and I’m passionate about deepening those skills that will support you in living a life of joy, steadiness, responsiveness and ease.
Through her guidance, I have been able to focus my energies on the most important and sustainably nurturing areas of my life...growing them and benefiting as a result. I can say that Sara is amazing...genuine, incredibly well read and studied, and so very kind.
